Meet the new additions to Morris Creative Group

Morris Creative Group is pleased to announce that we have hired one full-time graphic designer along with two interns for the spring semester.

andrew_photoAndrew Hock has been Morris Creative Group’s newest graphic designer for almost three weeks! He was raised in Nashville and received a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Tennessee. Andrew gained professional design experience working for Knoxville Voice,  the Knox County Public Library, and a diverse set of freelance clients. He says, “It’s a privilege to be working with the seasoned creative professionals at Morris Creative Group. I look forward to bringing my unique perspective and imagination to the agency’s projects.”

Kyoko is currently studying Graphic Design at the University of Tennessee hoping to graduate with a BFA this May. Kyoko brings real world expertise; she was awarded a Typographer’s Award from UT in 2013 and also had her work selected for the Insta Media Festival and the Handheld Media Festival. Kyoko, originally from Memphis, TN, or the “home of rock and blues,” as she calls it, is adept at the French horn and was a Drumcorp semifinalist from 2009-11. She is excited to finally be working at Morris Creative Group, hoping to add her flavor to projects and remain a part of the MCG legacy for years to come. About Knoxville, Kyoko says, “I love how welcoming and quirky this city is. It is a wonderful place to grow as a designer, and UT has offered me a great educational experience. Go Vols!”

casey_photoCasey Lawrence has been working as Morris Creative Group’s Marketing Intern for three weeks now. Casey learned about research, copywriting, advertising, and strategy while majoring in Advertising at the University of Tennessee and working as an advertising sales representative for UT’s editorially independent newspaper, The Daily Beacon. Casey was honored with the award of “Best Campaign” during the summer of 2013 while working with the Great Smokies Flea Market. Born, raised and educated on Rocky Top, he hopes to continue working in the area. Says Casey, “I am settling into the fast-paced, project-oriented style here at MCG and am loving it. I want to soak in everything I can from my co-workers.” Considering Knoxville his home, Casey states, “Knoxville is a great place to grow up! With our unique history, great sports traditions, and affinities for music, food, and the outdoors, it’s hard not to like it here.”
